1) WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
If you have some ideas about the location, features, etc. of the house or
condo you want, we can undertake a search of the multiple listing service
database for available properties. This search can be updated and
modified as often as you like. If you're not really sure or you're new to the
area, we'll discuss the market and develop a plan of action which suits
your needs. If I am representing you as a buyer's agent, my services will
generally cost you nothing at all and I'm happy to keep modifying and
running our search until you find what you want.
2) HOW MUCH CAN YOU (OR DO YOU WANT TO) SPEND?
I work with your financial professionals to see to it your purchase goes
through as efficiently and painlessly as possible, and perhaps to even
offer a little useful education along the way. Even in a less-than-favorable
financial environment, there is likely to be a wide array of options
available to you for obtaining the money you need, and you might be
amazed at what a motivated mortgage professional can do.
3) WE LOOK AT PROPERTIES
The fun part. Ordinarily you will never have to deal with the selling agent
at all. I provide access to the properties, we go through them at your pace
and to your satisfaction, and when you find something you'd like to buy,
we put down an offer.
I prepare the documents and negotiate on your behalf. I've taught
competitive strategy and organizational behavior for years...
Your mortgage professionals and I will arrange inspections, appraisals,
etc. We will then work with escrow/title to take care of all the details and
ensure that the closing process goes as smoothly and economically as
6) MOVING IN
